We are looking for a driven Instrumentation Technician to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Instrumentation & Metrology team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in contributing to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are currently seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our measuring instruments and systems. As an Instrumentation Technician at Northvolt, you will be directly responsible for servicing, calibrating, adjusting, and setting up parameters on measuring instruments and systems within the scope of the Instrumentation team. You will execute work orders, follow calibration procedures, troubleshoot breakdowns, and ensure the proper functioning of instruments and sensors. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment, training others, and contributing to department objectives.

- Good knowledge and understanding of process measurement and contro
Responsibilities:
- Execute work orders for calibration of instruments, troubleshoot breakdowns, and service or change broken instruments.
- Use HART, ProfiBUS, or direct sensor signal communicators proficiently.
- Utilize all calibrating equipment, software, and instruments owned by the Instrumentation team as specified in standards and procedures.
- Use and read P&ID, electrical drawings, and instrument lists proficiently.
- Find support in critical situations, interact with different departments, and assist in new areas setup.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- Instrument Technical or electro/mechanical background
- Min. 2 years industrial experience within Instrumentation/Calibrations
- Ability to have a deep understanding of the Li-Ion battery manufacturing process
- Fluency in English
- Good computer literacy, experience with some CMS is advantage
- Excellent MS Office knowledge
- Good understanding of quality and problem solving tools
- Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including Swedish
