Description:

We are seeking to appoint someone who is ready to kick-start their career in legal administration and join our Insurance & Compensation team as an Insurance & Compensation Clerk in Melbourne.
The successful applicant will be dynamic, vibrant and ready to work in a busy and client focused team. Key to this role is a high level of attention to detail and an enthusiastic and positive approach to work. We are looking for someone who is ready to commence their career in legal administration, and has a commitment to ongoing learning.

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Professional and confident telephone manner;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities:

  • Updating Caseflow, running processes on files;
  • Preparing detailed bills and disbursement account;
  • Collating claim files;
  • Preparing and updating medical lists;
  • Preparing or typing legal correspondence of a legal nature from draft or dictated text;
  • Creating and maintaining files, manually and system based;
  • File management of documents, including correspondence, letters and file notes;
  • Dealing with clients and client queries in a polite and friendly manner;
  • Liaising with barristers, clients, interpreters, Principals, Lawyers and staff;
  • Screening all telephone calls including taking detailed and accurate messages and instructions as required;
  • Providing Lawyer(s) with feedback, as to the status of work.
