Description:
We’re looking for someone passionate about providing excellent customer service to our clients and policyholders. As our next Insurance Consultant, you will show our policyholders the value of being one of our customers by generating insurance quotations and providing coverage advice. You’ll also be in charge of giving current policyholders excellent customer service by resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions. - Cultivating and managing client relationships, comprehending their financial goals, evaluating insurance requirements, and delivering personalized recommendations
- Conducting thorough financial analyses of clients’ present circumstances, encompassing income, assets, liabilities, and future aspirations, to identify suitable insurance solutions
- Crafting tailored insurance strategies for clients based on their specific needs and risk tolerance, encompassing life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, or annuities
- Presenting and elucidating insurance policy options to clients, elucidating their attributes, advantages, and costs, while supporting clients in making well-informed decisions that align with their goals
- Collaborating closely with colleagues, including underwriters, financial advisors, and legal professionals, to offer comprehensive financial planning solutions to clients
- Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging insurance products, and regulatory changes to provide current advice and maintain a competitive edge in the market
Qualifications:
- While a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is often preferred, it’s not mandatory
- Sales and Customer Service Skills: Strong sales and customer service experience, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are valuable in building relationships with clients and effectively promoting insurance products
- Teamwork and Collaboration: The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team to provide comprehensive solutions to clients
- A license is not required initially, as New York Life sponsors licensing for insurance planners. However, once employed, obtaining the necessary licenses, such as state-specific life insurance licenses, will be required to actively sell insurance products. The exact process and requirements for licensing sponsorship should be confirmed with New York Life during the application and onboarding process
