Description:

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in an Insurance environment, such as an Insurance Company is essential.
  • Experience across all lines of insurance is preferred.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft excel is essential. Previous experience with Applied Systems (Relay) or similar Broker system is an advantage but not essential.
  • Insurance Institute of Ireland’s CIP and QFA qualifications necessary.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Working and collaborating within a compact team environment. The individual will contribute to the smooth and efficient operations provided by the Irish League of Credit Unions’ Insurance Services department. To support the high level of service provided to our affiliated Credit Unions, for multiple Insurance policies available to affiliated Credit Unions through the ILCU Star Plan Scheme. The post holder will be working closely with the Insurance ECCU Supervisor in relation to ongoing projects. Hybrid working model.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting credit unions with the Scheme’s Star Plan insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement
  • Liaising with insurers throughout all aspects of the claims cycle
  • Dealing with policy renewals and mid-term adjustments.
  • Providing advice to Affiliated Credit Unions.
  • Co-ordinating the recording of monthly reports within agreed turnaround times.
  • Collating commission reports.
  • Collating management information from department’s broker system.
  • Communicating with our affiliates and other departments to ensure Affiliated Member experience is of the highest standard
  • Liaising with, and providing support to the Insurance Executive staff
  • Assisting with monitoring and collection arrangements of overdue Star Plan accounts
  • To support any ad-hoc special projects relevant to the department’s area of work
  • To assist in other areas and of Insurance Services where and when required.
