Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis in Brisbane. This role will support lawyers at varied levels who specialise in Health Law. Duties of this role will include:

  • file management – opening/closing files and filing/e-filing;
  • monthly billing and reporting;
  • adhering to client service standards;
  • drafting correspondence;
  • client liaison;
  • brief preparation;
  • diary and travel management including booking appointments; and
  • general LA and secretarial support.

This role will suit a candidate with the following:

  • previous experience in defendant insurance litigation (ideally health law);
  • experience using precedent, billing and file management programs;
  • enthusiastic and proactive approach to work;
  • strong communication skills; and
  • ability to build strong internal relationships
