Description:
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in social work, social services and/or psychology
- Previous administrative experience, as well as experience working with client/patient related or driven databases would be an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
- Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework
- Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
- Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and to prioritize tasks in a manner that meets staff needs and program objectives
- Proof of administered full-series Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date. If unable to be vaccinated for reasons relating to protected grounds under the Code, completed medical or religious exemption must be provided.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Assist with updating reporting templates to assist with reporting compliance
- Assisting with following up with Clients on the By Name List confirming demographic information
- Update resource page for our outreach and housing teams
- Update/streamline administrative process maps
- Support management through organizing and replenishing of our care and food closet
- Coordinate and administratively support our annual Food drive
- Provide reception coverage on a rotational basis
