Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you ready to revolutionize the employee experience and the foundations of how we do HR? We’re on the hunt for a creative thinker and leader with a penchant for applying intelligent automation in the real [corporate] world. In this role, you’ll be the mastermind behind implementing leading-edge and powerful new tech to make HR processes smoother, faster, and more fun! Don’t know much about HR? No worries; your team will. While HR will be the starting point to how we apply conversational artificial intelligence and robotic process automation, you’ll be a highly sought after thought leader across Pearson’s speedy evolution to make AI a core competency.
If you join our adventure, you’ll be empowered by futuristic leaders and become a crucial player in a program that is already funded and in motion. All we need is you! You’ll lead a team of automation enthusiasts who know a lot about HR process, but need your leadership to upskill and direct their efforts. You’ll partner closely with Pearson’s technology and other corporate functions. Ultimately, you’ll architect and build the team, technology, and ecosystem that will be the stuff of white papers, research studies, and Taylor Swift-like fame (okay, the last one might be overstated—no concerts required).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the Brainiac and Strategist: Dream up innovative ways to use technology to make HR tasks a breeze. Develop a game plan for how we’re going to use this fancy tech to make our employees love where they work.
  • Team Builder: Recruit, train, and lead a team of automation enthusiasts to bring our HR tech dreams to life. Manage team resources, including budget, tools, and external vendors, to ensure program success.
  • Tech Detective and Engineer: Investigate HR processes to find opportunities for automation and optimization. Work your magic to turn those ideas into reality by coordinating with our IT friends and other departments.
  • Cheerleader Extraordinaire: Get everyone excited about the new tech and show them how it’s going to make their lives easier.
  • Super Sleuth: Keep an eye out for any bumps in the road and fix them before they become big problems.
  • Tech Trendsetter: Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest and greatest in HR tech.

We know you’ll do great work, so we give a lot back with some of the best benefits in the business. We understand that one size doesn’t fit all, so our workplace programs meet the different needs of our diverse teams and their families too. There is a range of options, too many to list here, but when you join our Pearson family you can look forward to:

  • Starting holiday of 25 days plus UK public holidays and you’ll earn 1 additional day’s holiday per year you work with us;
  • A generous pension scheme where we match and double what you contribute;
  • Maternity, paternity, and family care leave as well as flexible work policies;
  • Stock/share purchase options;
  • Healthcare and dental plans, and an employee well-being assistance program for you and your family to help balance work, family, and personal life;
  • Cycle to Work Scheme, gym membership concessions in selected office locations, along with retail and leisure discounts
