Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

The APAC Intercompany Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a crucial role that oversees, manages, and executes a variety of intercompany activities. The SME will actively participate in RTR, PTP and ITC Intercompany processes and activities. Main point of contact for Country Controllers, Regional Controller, Corporate Accounting Team, Tax and Treasury.
The individual in this role will own activities ranging from balance sheet account reconciliation to vendor master data form submission, ensuring the smooth operation of the region’s non-PIE intercompany processes. SME will have a deep understanding of intercompany processes and possess strong problem-solving skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mange Interco Period End Close for APAC Region: Identify and resolve all problems/issues accrued or adjusted during the month-end close, and address issues. Manage Intercompany out of balances.

  • Intercompany Reconciliation: reconcile intercompany account balances between various entities to ensure that transactions are properly recorded and eliminate any discrepancies. This involves comparing transactions recorded by different entities and resolving any differences or inconsistencies.

  • Data Management: Handle IC VMD and CMD management, including creation and changes.
  • Netting: Liaise with Treasury/Controllers for approval of netting limit and handle disputes with suppliers related to netting and manual payments.
  • Responsible for trade and non-trade invoices. Ensure that invoices are accurate, reflect the terms of intercompany agreements, and comply with relevant accounting standards.
  • Compliance and Control: Execute requirements for SOX controls and compliance reporting, and manages review process. Ensure all intercompany activities adhere to company policies and financial regulations, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversees the work of BPO IC COE Team responsible for APAC Region.
  • Ensure GBS & BPO Interco PTP process are incorporated and followed, updated and monitored for maximum efficiency. Execute AP reconciliation based on AR SOA of IC Vendors.
  • Oversees and coordinates the TP adjustment process performed by BPO Provider.
  • Statutory Audit & Tax support – Preparing audit letter for balance confirmation, audit samples, transaction analysis & reconciliation.
  • Work on GRIR matters and drive the resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintains required documentation (Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Desktop Procedures, and Training Records).
  • Execute process improvements, technology implementations, and automations to streamline the efficiency and effectiveness of the APAC Intercompany Process.
