About UK Infrastructure Bank
We are the new, government-owned policy bank - launched in June 2021 - providing £22bn of infrastructure finance and partnering with the private sector and local government to finance a green industrial revolution and drive growth across the United Kingdom.

Job Purpose
As a Manager at UKIB you will work on equity, guarantee and debt transactions. The scope of investments will be regional or national level, often in conjunction with key global financial institutions and other stakeholders. You will support the origination, due diligence, negotiation and closing of transactions that meet the Bank’s mission statement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team in external market engagement with investors, developers, banks and industry players to help build the profile of UKIB in the market and proactively generate new opportunities.
  • Support the Team in identifying and screening potential projects and the production of executive committee papers examining projects based upon their commercial viability and policy impact.
  • Work as a member of the deal team in the due diligence process, including assessment of third-party due diligence provided by technical, legal, and other advisors and help produce investment papers for approval.
  • Build internal financial models, interrogate external financial models and run detailed sensitivity analyses to determine the level of risk, viability and impact of transactions.
  • Develop a technical understanding of UKIB’s full product suite including equity, senior debt, mezzanine and guarantees.
  • Support the Portfolio Team during the handover process with deal knowledge on closed projects.
  • Develop positive working relationships and interface in an open, constructive and collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a co-ordinated approach to the deal lifecycle.
  • Commit to continual professional development and demonstrate a positive attitude towards gaining experience and knowledge.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience in professional working environments producing high quality output for demanding clients
  • Financially astute, with either experience of using Excel to analyse complex situations, or a willingness and interest to learn to use complex spreadsheets
  • Confidence in building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Commercially astute and skilled in understanding and digesting complex information
  • Good communicator including strong report writing skills.
