Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Supervisor of Patient Financial Services will supervise staff members in their performance and duties to monitor efficiency in throughput and operations. The Assistant Director will be knowledgeable in all end-user systems and applications relative to revenue cycle management. The Supervisor will coordinate with multiple departments and ensure effective communication as needed throughout the Behavioral Health Network.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Knowledge or experience with patient financial services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a fluid and dynamic setting.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that provides quick turn around and quality output.

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Interim Supervisor
  • Full-time, Day

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate staff schedule in order to provide 24 hour coverage 7 days per week.
  • Maintain staff schedule in E-Time and approve payroll bi-weekly.
  • Completes performance evaluations, participates in supervising overall program operations.
  • Interviews potential candidates for Patient Access Representative positions.
  • Addresses any disciplinary action up to and including termination.
  • Coordinates and initiates monthly staff meetings for Patient Access Department.
  • Manages daily operations between Access Center and Patient Access to ensure efficiency in department throughput.
  • Monitors daily revenue report.
  • Acts as a liaison between Behavioral Health Patient Access and CBO.
  • Ensures effective communications between Behavioral Health Patient Access and all site utilization departments.
  • Attends monthly revenue meetings.
  • Reviews all quality indicators to monitor trends.
  • Keeps management informed of quality monitoring results.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
