CET has designed & developed more than 50 different products that are sold in all states & provinces and can be found in more than 20 countries globally. Our transmitters, controllers and self-contained units are installed in commercial HVAC, institutional, municipal, and industrial applications all over the world.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Degree in business, commerce, accounting, or related discipline (a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and progressive work environment.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, with advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, filtering, able to organize large volumes of data)
  • Experience using an ERP system. Knowledge of SAGE Business Vision would be an asset
  • The ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency would be an asset
  • Experience implementing new controls and procedures would be an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Accounts Receivables process that includes issuing invoices, preparing statements, collecting on overdue accounts, and posting payments to the system (SAGE Business Vision).
  • Collects new customer information and performs credit reference checks as per company policies to establish credit terms.
  • Reviews the credit worthiness of existing accounts based on customers’ sales and payment history to determine if current credit terms are appropriate.
  • Performs electronic bank deposits and assists with bank reconciliations.
  • Creates weekly A/R aging reports and other ad hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Assists with the reconciliation of invoices between two systems (Jobber and SAGE Business Vision)
  • Performs gross profit analysis on specific customers when required.
  • Assists in creating new billing items (products) in the system.
  • Performs cost and Bill of Materials reviews when required.
  • Assists in entering and posting Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Prepares month-end journal entries.
  • Assists with the investigation of discrepancies in the accounting records.
  • Assists in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual financial assessment by BDO
  • Functions as backup for the Sr. Accountant to issue payments to suppliers and payroll related tasks.
  • Performs other accounting administrative duties as assigned
