Intermediate Application Developer (HIBC)

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Advanced Solutions is looking for community-minded, energetic, progressive individual to join its HIBC
Services business area.
As a part of the consortium team which consists of PBC Solutions, Advanced Solutions provides IMIT
services to support the Ministry of Health’s Health Insurance BC (HIBC) Services. Together, we are

MUST HAVE

• Degree from an accredited college or university with structured training in relevant programming

languages and methodologies; and

• 2+ years’ experience working in a mainframe application development with PL/1, COBOL, DB2

and CICS or 6+ years of combination of education and experience.

• Experience in supporting mission critical applications is required.
• Experience working in high security environment involving personal information is required.
• Experience in providing 24/7 application support is required.
• Experience working in the BC government environment and in the health industry is desirable.
• Experience with the Mainframe application architecture that supports Health Insurance BC is

desirable.

• Knowledge in interfaces with non-mainframe systems is desirable.
