Description:

PROJECT MANAGER

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Project Manager for a 2 year contract in Regina SK.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Has overall project performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables which includes applying techniques for planning, monitoring, and reporting, change control, and risk and issue management.
  • Works closely with the Core Project Team members, which includes a representative from the business unit, IT, and OCM, to collaborate and ensure alignment in project goals and successful delivery of the project.
  • Assigns clear roles and responsibilities and provides effective oversight of deliverables and tasks.
  • Responsible to work with the business to articulate the project benefits and manage the project to ensure the benefits will be realized.
  • Accountable for the management of external vendors in their delivery of solutions and services. Works with external organizations and agencies to define and manage the exchange of information as necessary for a project.
  • Ensures projects deliver specified outcomes and meet quality expectations.
  • Creates and manages the overall project budget.
  • Regularly updates stakeholders with reports on the progress and performance of projects. Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate project risk to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Follow all the clients standard, practices, and processes related to projects and ensures compliance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Project Manager Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of proven IT project management experience in the role of a Project Manager managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Project management education and/or certifications (PMP)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of proven vendor management experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience managing cross functional project teams
  • Experience managing predictive, agile, and hybrid projects.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, management, and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Proven project and resource planning capabilities
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems and find innovative solutions.
  • Experience managing the implementation of SaaS cloud solutions would be an asset.
