You will be working on the Data and AI Services team to develop and enable AI solutions for Publix Supermarkets. The team is creating a robust and scalable AI ecosystem that empowers Publix to leverage the full potential of AI technologies including both Generative AI and ML. The team is committed to ensuring responsible AI governance and compliance. You will be a key contributor to assist with hands-on development, AI/ML product testing and reviews, and AI governance.
Please note, this is a hybrid position requiring 8 days per month on-site in Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities:

• Will implement AI service APIs using .Net in Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based environments.
• Will implement web-based user interfaces using React JavaScript libraries.
• Will manage and optimize Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based resources.
• Will help review AI features in Publix and vendor products to ensure they meet our Responsible AI, security, and compliance requirements.
• Will contribute to AI Finetuning and Machine Learning setup and development.
• Will lead project efforts while using Agile tools and methodologies.
• Will need to document procedures, share knowledge, and train others.
• Must work well within the team and be flexible with assignments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ professional working experience building high-performance, large-scale, and scalable software systems.
• Must have experience creating scalable and robust API’s using .Net.
• Must have experience building applications and managing resources in Microsoft Azure.
• Must have experience developing solutions using Typescript, React or Angular.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred experience with Generative AI development or Machine Learning techniques and tools.
• Experience automating deployments with DevOps pipelines using YML or Terraform.
• Experience working directly with the business to manage products and collect requirements.
• Product or project management experience.
• Experience supporting production applications.
