Our team in Canada is growing. We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Vancouver office.
We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Structural Engineer position to join our Vancouver team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost effective structural engineering designs from conceptual design to detail design, tender and construction in accordance with Canadian Codes and Standards.
- Perform analysis and design of concrete foundations and steel structures for mining and industrial projects.
- Prepare specifications, design criteria, scope of work and material take-off.
- Acting as the discipline lead or point of contact on a project, supervising the work of other engineers and designers on the project team.
- No matter if completing tasks independently, or supervising a team, ensuring that objectives of cost, quality and time are met.
- Be able to work with the project team in a multi-disciplinary environment, reporting on progress of his team and deliverables, and provide staffing plans and estimated remaining effort to complete the work.
- Be able to work directly with drafting staff in order to produce detailed drawing packages.
- Ability to liaise with client representatives and vendors directly.
- Perform site visits and inspect existing structures. Perform evaluation and analysis of existing structures for modifications and additions and propose reinforcement solutions.
