Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
To develop competence in strategic and/or operational work while performing in a professional work situation with emphasis placed upon training and development, and to expand professional preparation experiences far beyond the potential inherent in classroom and laboratory activities. Each internship is unique, based on matching the educational and career objectives of the student to the activities of a particular functional area and its specific needs. The internship will focus on a major project for the entire period. Student Interns are expected to learn from the experience as well as contribute to BSC’s goals. Internships are typically designed for MBAs, undergraduate engineers, and graduate engineers. Interns are expected to learn from the experience as well as contribute to Boston Scientific’s goals.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Collaborate next to the Sales team with selling aids, brochures, and administrative duties by following instructions and meeting deadlines. Some of these duties may require transportation on your own to hospitals or medical centers.
- Acquire knowledge of assigned products, messaging, and clinical procedures by working with Supervisors and Clinical Specialists.
- Liaising with various cross-functional teams (Regulatory, Legal, Quality, Customer Care) to ensure actions meet business requirements.
- Adhere to and promote adherence to all Corporate, Quality, and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Undertake basic tasks from some projects (Product Launches, conferences, medical events) and other duties as required by the Sales and Marketing team.
- Exhibit learning capability of clinical excellence and ongoing competitive knowledge.
- Contribute to building and maintaining relationships with physicians, nurses, and administrators alongside the Sales team. It also includes providing support to Field Clinical Representatives during product demonstrations and/or medical procedures in CathLab and/or Operating Room.
- Develop and support customer education programs and activities, and attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required to represent Boston Scientific where products and services will be promoted.
- Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., clinical specialists, managers, and marketing team) to develop optimal solutions.
