POSITION PROFILE
Title: Geologist Intern
Company: Orix Geoscience Inc.
Industry: Exploration & Mining (Geological Consultant Firm)
Location: Sudbury, ON
Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week, 1 year contract + Great potential for 2nd year renewal
Pay Range: $65,500 per year or greater, commensurate to experience.
POSITION
Orix is looking for Geologists residing in Northern Ontario for a great early career opportunity on a 1
year contract, with potential for a 1 year extension if you are pursuing your P.Geo designation. The
position offers dynamic opportunities both in the field working on exploration programs (Drilling,
mapping, etc.) and in the office/from home. This is a great opportunity for any Geologist who may have
recently moved to Canada and is residing in Northern Ontario, or Geologists looking for their first career
opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Geological Sciences or equivalent;
- Geologist-in-Training (G.I.T.) designation or greater is required for this role;
- Experience field mapping, performing geotechnical and core logging activities on field projects in
mineral exploration is a definite asset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, client service skills combined with a strong attention to
detail and a high degree of integrity and confidentiality;
- Demonstrates a commitment to health and safety in the workplace and in field environments,
understanding and adhering to safety protocols, including reporting hazards, near misses and
incidents to management;
- Ability to work in remote field locations for 2 week periods (16 Days on, including travel, 12 Days
off).

student geologists and technicians);
