QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards (or recently completed) an undergraduate degree/diploma in business, human resources, humanities, or another relevant discipline.
  • Experience in a post-secondary student leadership role, event coordination, or relevant volunteer experience is an asset
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new applications

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to a Product Owner, the Intern, Talent serves as a key member of the talent team and an active participant in facilitating excellent client relationships and industry partnerships within the organization. The Intern, Talent acts as an invaluable team resource for supporting end-to-end logistics of program and product delivery.
As a key member of the Talent team, the Intern, Talent plays a crucial role in supporting the team’s activities related to administration, event management, program onboarding, and community engagement.
This 8-month internship program will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience, skill development, and exposure to the fast-growing AI research and industry ecosystem.

The role focuses on achieving excellence in three principal accountabilities:

  • Event Management and Program Delivery Support
  • Customer Success and Inbound Support
  • WILO Administration Support

The Intern, Talent also undertakes specific, but limited, planning roles when opportunities arise that are aligned with their skillset and growth plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Involved in organizing and coordinating various events, such as workshops, presentations, coffee socials, networking events, and more
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery and positive participant experience
  • Welcome and onboard new program participants into Amii’s AI community
  • Provide resources, information, and support to help program participants integrate effectively into Alberta’s AI community
  • Coordinate Tours & Presentations for site visitors, classes, and various other talent-related stakeholders
  • Assist in the management of Work-Integrated Learning Opportunities (WILOs) for AI talent in Amii’s AI Career Accelerator Program
  • Liaise with other Product teams across Amii to organize, review, and select applicants for WILOs
  • Support the coordination of contracts, schedules, and communication with program participants and Product teams
  • Ensure a positive experience for all those engaging with Amii’s talent initiatives
  • Triage and respond to questions from current and prospective program participants, applicants, and other stakeholders
