EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• A Graduate degree
• Recognized Professional Accounting Qualification
• Certified Internal Auditor
• Banking/financial services industry related audit experience (5+ years) in the areas of Financial Crime Compliance, Retail Banking, and Banking Operations.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Good overall knowledge of Banking activities
• Good understanding of Retail Assets and Liabilities Products and related life cycle including operational aspects
• Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standard and Basel regulations
• Good Team player
• Analytical thinking
• Team player, Relationship Management , Inter personal skills
• Positive attitude to change; commitment to live the department values

JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent will support the Head of Internal Audit / Portfolio Head / Portfolio Lead in providing internal audit services across Emirates NBD Group and will be a subject matter expertise for Financial Crime Compliance, Retail Banking and Banking Operations. He/she will undertake business process audits, project assignments and ad hoc review work under supervision.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completion of Audit Plan
• Maximize time utilization
• Timely completion of audits
• Develop and deliver an audit service focused on control environment improvements that protect and enhance the group’s financial position.
• Ensure audit findings are timely addressed
• Conduct audits which are perceived to add value to the business
• Ensure Internal Audit is contemporary and innovative to drive efficiency / quality of service
• Maintain professional working relationship with business stakeholders
• Audit job completion, documentation and reporting in line with Audit Manual / standards
• Ensure observations are supported by facts, drafted per departmental standards and agreed with management.
• Drive / Participate in department strategic initiatives / innovation programs
• Drive / Participate in staff engagement activities
