Description:

Are you passionate about communications and looking for your next career move? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing team as an Internal Communications Executive. This role will involve hybrid working, with two days working from home and three days in the office in Nottingham.
Hillarys is part of the Hunter Douglas Group of Companies, the global market leader in window dressings. As the Internal Communications Executive, you’ll be part a key driver of communications support to our wide variety of teams across the business, as well as our self-employed advisors, seeking opportunities for innovation and to continuously improve.

ARE YOU THE IDEAL CANDIDATE? HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

  • Strong prioritisation and organisation skills, adept at efficiently and proactively meeting deadlines with good attention to detail
  • Excellent administration skills, and able to manage your workload and expectations of those you work with
  • Able to work quickly and to tight timescales, delivering a high-quality output
  • An effective team player with an innovative mindset who thrives on delivery at pace
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills and a strong command of the English language
  • Ability to manage change when circumstances dictate, taking a flexible approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills when communicating with the wider business and external partners
  • Ability to provide value-adding feedback to others with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience in CMS platforms (Umbraco and SharePoint would be advantageous)
If you don’t meet all these requirements but have a great attitude and are eager to learn, then we’d still love to hear from you.
As our Internal Communications Executive, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a keen eye for detail and can be trusted to get things done quickly and to a high standard. You’ll be ‘hands-on’ with event planning, logistics and delivery. Never content with standing still, you’ll bring enthusiasm, energy and ideas to the role and help find engaging solutions to improve the employee and advisor experience.
You’ll be joining a specialist and sociable team, where you’ll get the chance to flourish and develop. This role gives you the chance to join a team that is always at the forefront of the market, so if you’re ready to make the next move in your career, this could be just what you’re looking for. You’ll receive a wide range of benefits, including generous colleague discount for you (and family and friends!), a healthcare and lifestyle benefits package and a wide range of wellbeing initiatives.
We understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and with this in mind, we are dedicated to providing an inclusive workplace where every colleague feels valued and comfortable to be their true self. If you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, please do let us know and we’ll be happy to accommodate.

Responsibilities:

  • Updating content across all internal websites and digital channels including news articles, content sections and weekly email newsletters
  • Plan, manage and edit our intranet ensuring that it is easy to navigate and that the content remains engaging, relevant and accurate
  • Coordinating internal communication plans for business-wide projects and promotions
  • Proactively engaging with colleagues across the business to understand communication requirements and gathering insight
  • Planning, editing and writing engaging, impactful, and functional content for a variety of internal communications channels
  • Promoting and helping to deliver internal events
A confident collaborator with the ability to develop strong working relationships and manage stakeholders, you’ll work with a wide variety of teams including our in-house Design Studio and external suppliers. As well as being our main point of contact for uploading content onto our content management systems, you’ll also help to write and edit communications, so a high standard of English language and grammar is essential.
We’re a fast-paced, diverse business with a combination of remote workers and teams spread across multiple sites, so our websites are important communication channels. And you’ll be a key part in making sure these are engaging, up-to-date and user-friendly.
