Description:
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Communications, the Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for managing the organization’s internal communications strategy across a variety of communication channels including print, digital, video, online and events. In addition, the Internal Communications Specialist conceptualizes, develops and delivers a dynamic architecture of effective internal communications, partnering with Human Resources to promote staff engagement and destination employer branding.

- Lead internal communications from a marketing perspective including introducing campaigns, managing projects, and building staff brand advocacy, working with key stakeholders to hone the DCU Employee Value Proposition.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to serve as the primary lead for internal communication needs
- Develop multi-year internal communications strategy with key tactics, tool suggestions and budget considerations.
- Research and develop diverse communication channels/programs based on employee surveys and feedback.
- Establish and manage cross functional committees to improve interdepartmental and enterprise communications.
- Own the internal communications calendar, working with stakeholders to keep communication timing on track.
- Standardize and maintain internal communication platforms, portals and micro sites, adhering to brand standards.
- Facilitate internal communications across print, digital, video and in-person events, such as town halls.
- Establish measurement procedures, performance benchmarks, and success metrics for internal communications.
- Participate in organizational and departmental projects and initiatives to ensure effective internal communication.
- Manage the internal digital signage network content to drive results, engagement, and deliver key messages.
- Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to brand and market DCU as a destination employer externally.
- Manage all projects from beginning to end ensuring they are completed successfully, on time and within budget.
- Periodically present and report to marketing executives on campaigns and initiatives.
- Be highly communicative and responsive to all stakeholders while handling a large volume of projects.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).
