Calling all team members. Are you interested in Communications? Have you studied, or are studying towards a qualification in Marketing, Creative Writing, Journalism, or Internal Communications? Have you gained experience within a business and looking to broaden your knowledge and skills?
We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our Internal Communications team, working alongside our Central Operations and Support Centre teams to deliver impactful operations and campaign communications to operators and store teams across the UK&I. It is a hands-on role at a very fast pace, which will see you build relationships across the entire UK&I business.

A bit about the role…
You’ll be helping to develop and deliver internal communications to our Operators and Store Teams - this includes Area Managers, Senior Operations Managers and Store Managers across our equity and franchise estate in the UK&I.
You’ll need to work both proactively and reactively, making sure that the approach and content are delivered in the right way and to short deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex , operational and tactical communications to Costa Coffee stores in the UK&I market, including franchise partners
  • Work to continuously evaluate and improve our store & partner communications channels, in line with business priorities, to ensure store teams and partners are informed and engaged
  • Work alongside immediate team members, retail specialists, planners, and project/campaign leads to produce jargon-free, simple, easy-to-understand communications.
  • To proof, edit and simplify sometimes complex information into clear instructions.
  • We’re a Microsoft organisation, and it would be good if you have knowledge of MS Word and Excel as well as Teams and SharePoint.
  • Understanding tools for creating and developing email campaigns, animations and interactive newsletters would also be beneficial but not a ‘must have’.

  • Previous experience working in an retail operational environment and understanding communications or marketing techniques/platforms and practices is desirable.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, ability to quickly draft engaging, tone and audience-appropriate content.
  • Ability to simplify and interpret complex information and communicate it in a way that gains traction with target audiences
  • Loves working in a fast-paced environment and is not put off by change where there might be a bit of ambiguity
  • Experience using Mailchimp is an advantage

Location: Remote – travel to Central London and Loudwater will be required for meetings/ events
