QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or eligible to take the Fellowship Exam in Internal Medicine. Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
Responsibilities:
- provide full scope of practice
- participate in call rotation
- provide support to your own site but also to others in the Western Zone if required, which included day-time coverage and occasional overnight/weekend coverage
- be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for professional responsibilities and quality of practice
- operate with the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health
- participate in teaching both medical students and internal medicine residents and fellows
