Description:

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

You will make a difference as an ICT Engineer by providing support to key workers and Councillors across the council who in turns deliver support and services to the public in South Gloucestershire. This will be achieved by providing technical expertise to customers, solving user problems, resolving system incidents, and supporting staff across all workstreams within Integra IT.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • You will have or be working towards a degree in a computer related field, or the equivalent ICT technical knowledge.
  • You shall be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks and workload in line with service priorities.
  • You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of customers and stakeholders, in order to provide an excellent customer service.You shall demonstrate an in-depth knowledge in the use of software packages including in house systems appropriate to their domain.

  • Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day, you will provide support and problem resolution to ensure that business application platforms are available and in line with Service Level Agreements. This will involve investigating and assisting with the analysis of system logging to ensure they are operating as they should.
  • You will investigate and assist where alerts from monitoring system are concerned to ascertain if issues are in progress or if monitoring should be further refined.
  • You’ll support staff across all workstreams and domain areas within Integra IT, this may be dynamically during incidents or problem management or scheduled via Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities.Within this role you will be part of the wider desktop team in Integra providing advice to customers and managing the end to end delivery of end user devices
