Description:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and task-driven International Accounting Manager to join our Finance Team! Reporting to our International Controller, this is an opportunity to join a fast growing startup and play a driving role in our accounting and financial operations. This individual will be a key contributor as we grow our Finance team and our company.
We’re scaling quickly and this role is perfect for someone who enjoys streamlining processes, detailed work, and is looking for opportunities to advance their skills in a fulfilling environment. Our ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to wear many hats, be comfortable with making contributions that are transactional in nature, and be comfortable interacting across all levels and functions of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Own transactional accounting for areas such as bank and credit card transactions, AP, payroll entry, and expense reporting, with an emphasis on processes to streamline the work as the company grows
  • Own/participate in certain components of month-end close process
  • Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries as needed
  • Participate in system enhancement projects (such as GL implementation)
  • Lead efforts for accounting policy and procedure documentation
  • Assist with statutory reporting

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of USGAAP and international working with subsidiaries of US entities
  • Knowledge of month end close and able to meet deadlines
  • Ideally studying towards/recently qualified in a professional accounting qualification (CPA)
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast paced startup environment
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Netsuite experience a plus
  • Knowledge of USGAAP and international working with subsidiaries of US entities
  • Knowledge of month end close and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong customer focus and a service minded attitude
  • Strategic thinker with analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and relationship building skills

In Germany, the Base compensation range for this role is €72,000 - €86,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process.
