Description:

The International Associates Program (IAP) is a career entry training program that is offered to graduates who are interested in starting a career in Japan.
It is a two-year program where individuals who are eager to gain experience while exploring the culture and language of Japan can smoothly transition into their career life.
This client is a large components supplier while also dealing in automotive infotainment. The program primarily focuses on candidates from engineering fields.
The program is based on the concept of on-the-job training and focuses on overall skill development. By being involved in the department’s various functions and projects, you will gradually gain broad work experience and learn to work in a team environment. You will also be assigned a so-called senpai (mentor) from your chosen department who can respond to your individual training needs. These mentors are also specially selected as their communication skills are sufficient to converse in English, hence there is no need to be fluent in Japanese when you arrive.
We are seeking highly motivated Mechanical and Electronic Engineering graduates to join the client’s Reliability Department for a dynamic 2-year placement. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to work with cutting-edge test technologies and contribute to the reliability and durability of products.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on reliability engineering, testing methodologies, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in electronic manufacturing and reliability engineering.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to conduct reliability tests on Mechanical/Electronic components and systems.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of test plans to evaluate product performance under various conditions including temperature, environmental factors, vibration, and impact.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as 10m anechoic chambers, car testing tracks, and specialized testing apparatus for accurate and comprehensive analysis.
  • Participate in IP (Ingress Protection) testing to ensure product durability and resistance against external elements.
  • Contribute to IK testing for assessing the impact resistance of products.
  • Analyse test results and provide detailed reports highlighting findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production to address reliability concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in reliability testing and incorporate best practices into the testing process.
