__________ INTERNATIONAL OFFICE | TE WHIRIKA DIVISION OF EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT | TE RINGA TORO The University of Otago is looking for an International Programmes Development Advisor to support the growth and evolution of our international academic portfolio. Working within the International Programmes Development Team, you’ll collaborate with academic and professional staff and international partners to design and deliver academic programmes that meet global market demand and support Otago’s international ambitions. Te mahi | The role In this role, you will support the development of Otago’s international programme offerings, including offshore and flexible delivery programmes, articulation pathways, and inbound international short course programmes. Working closely with academic divisions and partners, you will shape programme concepts, support implementation planning, engage stakeholders, and provide market informed advice. Your work will help ensure Otago’s international programmes are academically strong, responsive, and sustainable. You will bring: • Experience in education or business development, or a related advisory role. • A proven ability to build and manage strong, productive relationships • Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop proposals and engage constructively with academic and professional staff • An organised, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Cultural awareness and confidence working in diverse, international environments. • A commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement Experience within the tertiary sector, particularly in international education, and familiarity with academic systems and programme structures will be highly regarded. Mō mātou | About us The International Programmes Development Team sits within the International Office, part of the University’s External Engagement Division and plays a central role in supporting the Global and Connected Domain of Pae Tata: Otago’s Strategic Plan to 2030. The team works collaboratively across the University to review, adapt and develop programmes that meet the evolving needs of international students and global partners. Our work contributes to the key strategic frameworks including: • Te Aka Whakaranea ā-Ao (International Strategic Framework), • The Māori Strategic Framework, • The Pacific Strategic Framework. Pūroko | Further details This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin Occasional work outside normal working hours and some domestic or international travel may be required. The appointment range for this role is $75,631 to $80,503. Top of range is $88,750. You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply.
