Description:

KdG University of Applied Sciences and Arts takes internationalisation seriously. We offer a growing number of internationally oriented degree programmes, fully taught in English, attracting domestic and international students from 120 countries.
To further the sustainable growth of these programmes we are looking for an international student recruiter.
Your role?
Joining the International Marketing & Recruitment team, you will help attract, inform and recruit prospective international students for our English-taught bachelor’s programmes.

Your duties:

  • You translate the recruitment strategies into online and offline initiatives that help prospective students discover, engage with and enroll at KdG.
  • You develop and overview scalable systems that allow us to help an exponentially growing group of prospective students get the information and support they need.
  • You directly assist and advise prospective international students about their options at KdG – offline and online.
  • You are among the first points of contact for student enquiries and actively help the right candidates become enrolled students – responding to and anticipating their needs.
  • You attend international recruitment events (online and offline), and closely collaborate with our international recruitment partners and service providers.
  • You support these partners (agents, portals, counsellors) and provide them with information, materials and incentives to create awareness for and interest in studying in Belgium, in Antwerp and at KdG.
  • You coordinate our international student ambassadors: a growing team of enthusiastic students eager to spread the word about their life in Antwerp and at KdG.
  • You prospect emerging markets, opportunities and collaborations.
  • You mainly work at the Zuid Campus, with regular visits to other KdG campuses – and the occasional trip abroad, to attend recruitment, industry or networking events.
  • You are a member of the International Office and report to the head of Internationalisation and to the coordinator of the International Marketing & Recruitment team. You will collaborate closely with the Admissions team, the Student Services team and the study programmes you recruit for.

Your profile?

  • You have experience in an international environment, preferably within the field of education. You have experience in sales and/or marketing, and in customer-facing roles.
  • Preferably, you have experience in (online) marketing, or you intend to professionalise in this field within the first year of employment.
  • You have excellent communication skills (interpersonal, networking, presentations). You will act as an ambassador for KdG in building relationships with prospective and existing customers, suppliers and partners.
  • You can prove your English proficiency is at least C1 level and can perform within an English-speaking professional context.
  • A good oral and written knowledge of Dutch and knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • You are a team player who encourages cooperation. Your enthusiasm and strong powers of persuasion have a motivating and inspiring effect on your colleagues.
  • You work proactively and in a solution-oriented manner, identify bottlenecks and formulate innovative outcomes or suitable alternatives. You are customer-focused and can convert ideas into concrete results.
  • You excel at planning and setting priorities – and know how to use systems and workflows that allow you to devote your focus and time to the actions that generate the most impact.
  • You work independently, are goal-oriented and work accurately even in stressful situations.
  • You are open to travelling abroad for work.

In addition, you hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience[1].

We offer

  • A part-time assignment as a contractual employee. You start on 1 September 2024 with a contract for one academic year, with the intention of extending (after positive evaluation).
  • You will receive a salary in keeping with your qualifications and experience within the B21-B32 (equivalent to barema’s 592-584-594-595). Click here for more information.
  • In addition, relevant professional experience outside of education can count towards your seniority.
  • A warm welcome in a team with a hands-on mentality. Your colleagues are ready to give you the help you need from the very beginning.
  • An environment in which you receive plenty of opportunity and the responsibility to carry out your assignment.
  • In addition to a KdG-wide orientation day where you will get to know KdG better as an organisation, you will also have the opportunity to make use of a wide range of internal and external training opportunities.
  • Our commitment to continuously build an inclusive work environment where everyone can be themselves and learn from each other. We strongly believe in the power of diversity and complementarity, and are convinced that a diverse pool of colleagues and an inclusive context make us all better, stronger and more talented.
  • Benefits such as flexible working hours, hybrid work (optional), a laptop (from 30% contract), a generous number of vacation days (45 days for a full-time contract) and optional hospital insurance at a favourable price.
  • We reimburse 100% of your travel expenses if you use public transport for your commute. You will be paid a €0.21/ km bicycle allowance if you commute by bike.
