JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our International team in a critical Supplier Engineering role. You will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products supporting our international supply base. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production execution. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate, ensuring Export/Import compliance and License Management, and that the suppliers’ technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will initiate and manage EXIM RGEMS requests for technical transfers, license health checks, and EXIM Training compliance. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. US Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering is strongly preferred.

    This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories.
    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO ANTICIPATE:

  • Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers according to Global Trade requirements.
  • Lead and conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk.
  • Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis.
  • Lead evaluations of supplier requests for product and process changes
  • Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause investigation and corrective action.
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders.
  • Support international and/or domestic travel as needed.
  • Ensure product and process capability across the supplier’s value stream, including sub-tiers Identify and mitigate risks within the supplier’s manufacturing and quality systems.
  • Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
  • Manage supplier requests for product and process changes.
  • Provide manufacturing guidance to suppliers and develop the mitigation plan.
  • Define, communicate, and verify configuration requirements.
  • Collaborate with “EOSQP” (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and the Programs) to drive supplier performance to goals.
  • Actively participate in program / engineering reviews and change boards.
  • Engage with programs to ensure supplier engineering is involved throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Attend peer reviews, program reviews and review boards. Ensure technical and cost/schedule rigor is followed.
