OUR REQUIREMENTS
- BSc- or MSc (student or already graduated) in the field of applied science (e.g. robotics, micro- or electrical engineering)
- Strong foundation or keen interest in multidisciplinary research and development
- Understanding of fundamental physics concepts such as electrical conductivity and magnetism, with a willingness to deepen this knowledge.
- Experience in scientific experimentation, result analysis, and reporting
- Familiar with electronics/measurement technology with experience in programming (preferably Python and C++)
- Hands-on, creative and scientifically rigorous approach to problem-solving
- Fluent in English (Level C1), German is an advantage

Responsibilities:
This internship offers a variety of exploratory directions within the project, each presenting potential areas of focus. These topics include :
- Material Science Exploration: Characterize and evaluate smart elastomer materials to understand their unique properties in light of targeted applications
- Sensor and Actuator Design: Design architectures utilizing smart elastomers, focusing on their integration and functionality
- Simulation and Modelling: Employ modelling and simulation techniques to describe the behaviour of smart elastomer-based sensors and actuators
- Electronics and Software Implementation: Develop and integrate electronics and software solutions for precise sensor readout and actuator control
- Data Science: Analyse data to refine performance models and enhance material applications
- Demonstrators and Test Setups: Design and construct test setups and Proof of Concept demonstrators to evaluate and showcase the viability of smart elastomer
