INTERN (D/F/M) IN THE FIELD OF SPACE SITUATIONAL AWARENESS AND INTELLIGENCE

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled full time Master student (d/f/m) in space or aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automation engineering, physics, mathematics, software engineering or related fields.
- Strong background in orbital mechanics, AOCS and/or mission analysis
- Experience in programming (Python) and with dedicated mission analysis tools (e.g., STK, Orekit)
- Strong communicative skills and positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Fluent English.
- Interest in Space Situational Awareness topics.
- Knowledge in optics and image processing and control technology will be an addition.

Responsibilities:
- Familiarization with the use-case, the mission goal and typical spacecraft capabilities.
- Definition of different rendezvous and inspection mission scenarios including different targets, observer capabilities and initial orbits.
- Familiarization and selection of suitable tools for the preliminary mission simulation and analysis.
- Simulation, analysis and optimization of the different mission scenarios.
- Derivation of preliminary system requirements.
- Regular presentation of progress and thorough documentation of the work.
