INTERN WITHIN STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING (D/F/M)

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) within aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar field of study
  • Good understanding of structural dynamics
  • First knowledge in Structural Finite-Element Analysis (dynamic analysis would be a plus)
  • Experience with MS Office (including Excel)
  • First experience with Finite-Element Analysis Software like Nastran and Hyperworks
  • Nice to have: Experience in programming with Matlab
  • English: fluent
  • Nice to have: German
  • You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Finite Element (FE) Models of satellite structures, instruments and components. FE models have to be compliant to department standards and good practices
  • Conduct static and dynamic, linear and nonlinear structural analyses
  • Perform structural assessments by means of hand calculations
  • Prepare, support and evaluate mechanical tests
  • (Further-) develop analysis methods and processes
  • (Further-) develop tools in Excel or Matlab for the automatization of analysis pre-/ post processing tasks
  • Understand and prepare technical documentation in English or German
