EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR SUCCESS:

  • MA/BA degree
  • Further education in a relevant field, such as EU or international politics, law, environmental policy, etc.
  • Knowledge and a keen interest in EU policy and decision-making processes, as well as the interinstitutional dynamics, with a focus on environmental issues, including chemicals, circular economy, energy & transport, ESG.
  • Previous public affairs experience in an EU institution, regulatory organisation, trade association, advocacy organisation (NGO), company or consultancy is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with digital and social campaigns is an advantage
  • Critical thinking with a desire to learn in a fast-paced and international environment
  • Strong team spirit and experience in working in a multicultural environment are also an important asset
  • Professional proficiency in English (C1/C2) - any other language will be an asset

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an intern to join our Sustainability Team in Brussels for a 6-month paid internship, starting as soon as possible.
You will research & monitor policy developments on sustainability issues, support client work and collaborate to new business projects. This is an opportunity to be fully part of client teams and gain first-hand experience of consulting, to explore key policy trends as well as have an impact in our Sustainability Team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS YOU MOVE WITH US:

The opportunity to have a first-hand relationship with clients and support them in their day-to-day work, including:

  • Implementation of communication and advocacy programmes in the sustainability field;
  • Drafting reports, briefings, and short notes on themes such as climate, circular economy, and energy;
  • Attending events and supporting our external engagement e.g. organising events and conferences;
  • Supporting public affairs activities as well as office/clients’ outreach to a wide range of stakeholders and EU/UN institutions;
  • Contributing to new business proposals;
  • Research & monitoring policy developments on sustainability issues at EU, national and international levels;
  • Monitoring the EU media and analyse the main environmental trends.
