Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful intern will assist the Regulatory, Strategy and Reform team with at least one policy project – the project itself will be determined by priorities in the team at the time but could include researching an environmental issue, a stakeholder engagement project or getting involved in rail reform or AI. This is a great opportunity to see how policy gets developed in a regulatory environment, and you will have the opportunity to write a paper recommending the way forward. You will be given an outline problem statement to develop, be asked to conduct desk-based research and also to engage with colleagues across ORR to help complete your project. You will be supported by members of the team to help shape and refine the task and the output, and will be able to work across the organisation.
There will also be some general administrative tasks including arranging meetings, including room bookings, where requested and taking minutes at any such meetings.
