Description:

The Social Media and Content Intern will support the team with content creation & successful delivery of the marketing and digital marketing activities for the B2B, B2C, and B2G audiences of Emirates Nature-WWF.
Reporting to the Project Officer – Digital Performance, the role holder will help manage engagement on our social media channels and platforms, create engaging content that aligns with our brand identity and departmental objectives.
The role holder will also support in general communications across the wider marketing team such as planning, creating and roll-out of global or localized campaigns/projects, assisting with report development, crafting monthly newsletters and creating presentation decks.
The role holder will help support in planning and coordinating for activities, sessions, events, and will be required to go out on the field for capturing content and guiding media crews.
The role holder will need to be very savvy with social media and support the team in planning and in updating and adding to the editorial calendar, building new monthly calendars, ideating of new content, drafting the captions.
The role holder should understand how to monitor analytics and help support with the creation of monthly reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & TikTok).
  • Create compelling and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, that resonates with our target audience.
  • Manage day-to-day social media operations, including content scheduling, posting, and community management.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry news, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for content optimization and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and sales, to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all channels.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and insights to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform future content strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends, and integrate innovative ideas into our content strategy.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry news and developments, and leverage current events to create timely and relevant content.
  • Support in creating and delivering all related marketing collaterals for the organisation’s products, ensuring they are impactful with value-based messaging and on-brand communications.
  • Support in planning campaigns across the year with ideas and strategizing. Supporting in the implementation of the campaigns.
  • Alongside the marketing team, plan and focus on the correct audience ensuring audience centricity, focusing on key segments of the business audience (to be defined), and continue to finesse the segmentation and target audience, primarily through effective marketing and engagement activities.
  • Support in creating and updating the editorial content calendars, helping plan and draft newsletters, mailers, ad campaigns, editing reports, and presentation decks.
  • Support in covering EN-WWF’s outreach programs, products, and activities on field, external appearances by EN-WWF management and experts etc. as needed.
  • Support in active management of EN-WWF’s assets such as images, videos, internal and external documentation etc. on Google Drive and Box.
  • Support in active content creation and management for all EN-WWF’s websites and microsites.
  • Working with relevant organizational teams to acquire content from external sources such as partners, members, thought leaders, volunteers etc. and provide support in creating, managing and delivering periodic content across EN-WWF’s podcast and blog.
  • Build up a network of content creators, influencers, and other partners through which to create and deliver and promote content.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from/or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Media.
  • Proficient in conversational and written English and Arabic is a must.
  • High level of cultural sensitivity and awareness with ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.
  • Knowledge and or experience in the non for profit sector, preferably of environmental non-government organizations.

Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to be mobile across various project sites within the UAE
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of software such as Canva, Adobe Firefly, Adobe Photoshop etc.
