The Securities Services business of BNP Paribas is one of Europe’s leading providers of custody services for securities.
The Luxembourg branch plays a major part in its operations, offering clients high value-added services extending from custody to securities lending, fund administration, performance measurement and ratings, and bond issuance services.
We are currently looking for a:
Internship : Strategy & Market Intelligence Research Analyst (M/F)
6 months starting (ideally) from September 2024
You must provide an internship agreement covering the entire period of the internship
Your mission:
Working within the Strategy & Market Intelligence team (Luxembourg), part of the Strategy & Corporate Development division in Paris, you will be mandated to support various assignments related to competitor & market research projects upon demand. As part of an international, cross-location team, you will be contributing to projects supporting the strategic business development of the organization.
Responsibilities within a daily framework:

Market & competitor research & analysis:

• Support regular market reports construction through graphs, rankings and data compilation
• Assist with internal benchmarking studies to support decision-making process regarding BNPP positioning and related market & product development actions
• Perform data collection on contenders’ product initiatives & mandates via the public domain(news, subscribed magazines, third-party studies, surveys etc.)
• Perform research through data queries & analysis of players (competitors, clients) throughthe leverage of specialist industry databases
• Assume ad-hoc (web-based) research tasks on market trends / dynamics, clients and contenders’market moves and positioning
• Preparing presentations & findings of research project milestones and draft outputs

Enrichment & continuous development of the market research library, databases and queries therein:

• Retrieval & update of database streams pertaining to the abovementioned client segments in orderto define a bespoke client universe (pivot table, xls extracts etc.)
• Coherent & regular storage/assignment and update of key news, magazines & data across client segments in the Strategy & Market Intelligence library

Organisational team support:

• Set-up & preparation of support material for workshops, cross-location calls or (team) meetings
• Drafting of meeting minutes & follow-ups (where required)
• Any other (punctual) support to the preparation of meetings and internal client-related requests

Profile requested:

EDUCATION:

• University degree in Finance, Economics or Business admin. orientation (ideally Bac+5).

BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS:

• Result-driven, proactive, focused attitude and approach
• High level of autonomy & proactivity, alongside team player ability

TRANVERSAL SKILLS:

• Appetite for research; Strong analytical and synthesis skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Good communication and writing skills (FR and EN: good command in written & spoken)

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• At ease with Microsoft Office incl. Excel, PPT & Word
