Internship Trade Compliance

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to support and participate in the development and implementation of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) process for our Emerson Sales Office in Korschenbroich, Germany.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• German language knowledge.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Providing International Trade Compliance support for current and new activities and projects for Korschenbroich, Germany;
• Gathering and validating information from the Supply Chain Team, the Finance Team and the Purchasing and Planning departments;
• Collaborates with the Logistics department to process documentation in the most accurate way;
• Evaluating Bills of Material items that are planned for procurement, reviewing the progress of Purchase Orders from order entry to the receipt of goods, and reviewing Harmonized System code availability and highlight when it is not available;
• Processing supplier’s declaration, requesting declarations for purchased materials, verifying originating vs non-originating goods;
• Validating the information declared by the supplier, the value of non-originating goods and verifying the validity of declarations;
• Recording receipt and country of origin information and archiving supplier declarations associated with products from orders placed.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• University graduate or student;
• Proficiency in English, both speaking and writing;
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word);
• Good communication skills, attention to details.
