JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provide Video Editing for News & Features including video effects, soundtrack editing and mixing.
- Understand requirements and communicate the intended creative vision for news bulletin production.
- Craft news story together with the producer/reporters for News, Features and Live Shows in short turn around time.
- Edit stories based on raw footage/rushes. Especially be versatile in crafting feature stories for color segments using effects etc using Adobe premiere pro.
- Ensure programme audio & video output level meets broadcast standards for transmission.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with non-linear editing systems like Adobe Premier Pro.
- Able to suggest alternative production techniques to optimize equipment usage.
- Able to learn different NLE besides Premier Pro
- Able to recognise shots sizes and understand picture grammar
- Able to do simple audio mixing
- Able to do simple Photoshop
- Able to collaborate and work well with producers and team s alike
- Creative, and technically inclined and able to work well under pressure.
- Prepared to work irregular shift hours and public holidays.
- Candidate must be currently enrolled at a local educational institution.
- The internship is recognized as part of the school’s official curriculum.
- Successful applicants must commit to at least a 3-month internship during the period from May 2024 - December 2024
