Interventional Radiographer

The post will give the opportunity to work within both peripheral and cardiac intervention including coronary angioplasty and EVAR. We are looking for a dedicated, patient focused individual, with high quality Radiographic skills. The individual will need to be flexible and able to work well either as an individual or as part of a team. The successful applicant would be expected to work at either Trust site, dependent on service needs and an extended working day across the seven day week may be required.
The applicant must also: Be able to contend with contaminated equipment resulting from e.g. incontinent/ infection risk patients, trauma patients etc. To carry out high quality diagnostic imaging examinations according to departmental and national protocols whilst maintaining high standards of patient care. To contribute towards the efficient deployment of resources; enabling patients to receive a safe, accurate and timely examination.
To work as a member of the Interventional radiology team. To supervise and train junior staff members. The post holder will be expected to work unsupervised out-of-hours and participate in a busy on-call service covering vascular and Interventional radiology. Competency in IV cannulation and administration of IV contrast media via high pressure injectors.
