Description:
Join a team that is the control center for all our electricity trading activities at Next Kraftwerke. The 24/7 Trading & Operations team operates and monitors a complex trading infrastructure around the clock. The trading covers electricity from renewables, flexible plants and proprietary trading portfolios in ten European countries. The current focus is on the Dutch market and specifically offshore wind, but the scope gradually expands in the future.
In our team with a challenging area of responsibility, you will enjoy a lot of creative freedom. You will help contribute to a sustainable and renewable tomorrow and will have the opportunity to learn about how exactly the energy transition works in the market and in practice.
Renewable energies do not take a break - we trade continuously 24/7 and 365 days a year. Therefore, we are looking for independent and curious team players who are willing to work in three shifts. The shifts are distributed evenly by the team and of course compensated accordingly.
THESE ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- You have completed a university degree, or apprenticeship and have appropriate professional experience in energy sector.
- You have experience with programming languages, preferably Python.
- You enjoy improving processes continuously and contributing your own ideas with your enthusiastic kind of way.
- You are intrinsically motivated, want to understand things in detail, and hold on to this approach.
- You like to take decisions in situations with a high level of uncertainty.
- You are interested in the energy transition and market mechanisms.
- You like to win, preferably in a team and you have a great sense of responsibility for your own tasks.
- You speak English and German fluently.
