Description
The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimisation of inventory processes.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerised systems, SAP.
Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counting and bulk stocktake.
Coordinate with supply chain, purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt and delivery of inventory.
Analyse inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimise losses and maximise efficiency.
Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure adequate stock levels.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Prepare regular reports on inventory status, including stock levels, turnover, and shrinkage.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Proven experience in inventory control or related role.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of inventory control best practices and principles.
Profile
To be successful in this application, you must have at least two years experience in a Inventory Controller position and with manufacturing experience.
You will have the confidence, tenacity, and SAP proficiency to hit the ground running in this critical role.
