THE CLIENT

Our client is a leading FMCG retail business with over 40 years’ experience supplying Australian households with quality products & exceptional service. They have built a brand to envy and a culture that maintains, develops, and grows their staff. The business and footprint has continued to grow over the last few years, with some exciting new products hitting our 100+ stores nationally. Due to an internal re-structure, they have gone to an outsourced 3PL model, are looking for an Inventory Manager to oversee and control this key area of the business.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

You will have 3+ years experience in a similar role within the FMCG/retail/consumer goods space. You will also ideally bring:

  • Exposure to a large SKU portfolio
  • Experience with managing an outsourced 3PL relationship
  • Understanding inventory management business systems and MRP processes
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive approach and positive attitude
  • Customer focused and collaborative

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting to the CEO, this role manages the inventory control, planning, distribution and 3PL relationship of all product related goods whilst supporting the operations & stores nationally. Your key responsibilities as the Inventory Manager include:

  • Manage inventory operations, addressing discrepancies and ensuring seamless integration between systems.
  • Monitor stock levels, lead cycle count regimes, and oversee stock management processes with 3PL.
  • Coordinate stock movements, adjustments, and utilize systems to serve retail stores.
  • Plan and review upcoming product launches, promotions, and rework projects in collaboration with various departments.
  • Foster relationships with Suppliers, selecting partners, issuing work instructions, and managing day-to-day interactions.
  • Keep track of data, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Operational & process improvements
  • Analysis & reporting
