JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist will work closely with the Inventory Manager with a focus on receiving, inventory control and providing administrative support with day-to-day functions in the Shipping department. This position provides a nice mix of floor and office work and provides opportunities for growth and advancement.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enter all receiving activity into Infoflo
  • Perform weekly checks for components for production
  • Generate inventory report and analyze for adequate stock for production, on a weekly basis.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for production efficiency
  • Manage modular system inventory and reporting
  • Maintaining manual bills of lading on a daily and monthly basis
  • Create transfers from distribution centres. Receive and scrap filing documentation as required
  • Provide follow-up to external plants, distribution centres and vendors regarding service complaints
  • Provide cycle counts and assist with inventory audits and month end reconciliation
  • Assist plant shippers when required
  • Serve as the backup to the Inventory Manager, when required
  • Perform a variety of other tasks

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a supply chain, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, production, or related industry is required
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or a Logistics related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling of retail assembly
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent digital literacy, and high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Strong ability to take initiative, multi-task and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external vendors
  • The successful candidate will be subject to a customs and transportation background check
