Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist to work in our Australian corporate office in Fortitude Valley.
In this permanent role, you will be reporting to the Manager Warehousing & Inventory. The scope of your role will be to manage inventory orders and levels, together with providing warehouse advice, training and governance support to site warehouse teams in order to ensure good practice warehouse and inventory practices are in place within our Australian business.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Compliance with all company procedures and policies
  • Report any safety incidents/concerns in an accurate and timely manner and take appropriate measures to eliminate hazards in the warehouse.
  • Timely, effective and collaborative communication with internal and external customers demonstrating high level of customer service.
  • Provide operation Warehouse advice , training support and governance activities to site warehouse teams
  • Define and execute warehouse projects and initiatives necessary to support the business
  • Timely replenishment of Inventory to ensure to ensure optimal stock availability
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract coverage against materials to drive operational efficiencies through replenishment automation and lead-time and pricing accuracy.
  • Manage supplier delivery performance through effective expediting process and routine supply chain reporting.
  • Support and assist the Warranty process as and when required.
  • Routine maintenance and management of Material Catalogue to ensure conformity consistency of global guidelines.
  • Processing and coordination of Inventory additions, moves and changes.
  • Effective inventory reviews to ensure optimal holding levels of materials are achieved.
  • Identify internal transfer opportunities from obsolete and surplus inventory held on sites and coordinate transfer to receiving sites where necessary.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Peabody Energy Charter and Code of Business Conduct.
