Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Finance, the Investment Accountant will be part of a finance team that provides high-quality accounting services to multiple clients and demonstrates outstanding and timely customer service. You will have access to and regularly work with information that is highly confidential and critical in nature. As an Investment Accountant, you must be professional and highly organized, have excellent communication skills, with a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work autonomously.

REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (accounting, finance, or business administration).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting (minimum two years of relevant work experience).
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and accounting principles.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical, reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality related to client and business matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate working papers and financial statements for investment values.
  • Prepare year-end working papers for the trust fund year-end audit.
  • Processing and monitoring all client security investments with attention to management and report regulation compliance.
  • Liasing with related departments, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Organizing and ensuring the accuracy of all financial and accounting reports and records
  • Process money transfers requested by clients
  • Provide general accounting support, as needed.
  • Contribute to the team effort by completing other tasks as assigned.
  • Calculate quarterly accruals for investment market value, income, and management fees.
