Key responsibilities:

  • Provide senior management with an assessment and advice on major business proposals, with a focus on the risk reward balance;
  • Review investment/divestment proposals, new products and complex structured deals throughout the Vattenfall Group (e.g. wind farms, e-mobility, innovative technologies, decentralised energy, commodity derivatives) to examine robustness of the proposal and potential dependencies/impact:
  • Identify risks to key value drivers (e.g. operational, market, commercial, reputational, regulatory);
  • Aim to enhance proposals from a (portfolio) risk mitigation perspective;
  • Verify valuation and financial models to assess the economic viability of proposals;
  • Review key contracts and ensure consistency with valuation and commercial aims;
  • Submit reports including advice and recommendations to executive level.
  • Engage and discuss business proposals with project teams and relevant staff functions (e.g. Finance, Legal), to support the business through constructive feedback.
