Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Investment Analyst works closely with the Board in the development of investment strategies, policies and procedures that align the Foundation’s mission and vision. The individual is responsible for all activities relating to the Investments for the plan, including monitoring the performance of the fund and its investment managers and recommending changes, when necessary, as well as monitoring the governance and compliance of all investments and plan administration. The incumbent is equally enthusiastic about in-depth analysis of investment strategies as well as responding to complex donor questions.
Responsibilities:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline
- Demonstrated interest or working towards an investment designation (e.g. CFA)
- Four (4) or more years of investment analysis experience, portfolio management, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think and work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
- Other activities and tasks may be required within the scope of this role
- Travel across Canada could be required
