WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Participate in our comprehensive onboarding program
- Primarily, outreach to and communicate with founders of software companies in the DACH regionthat could be a potential investment for Alpine, while also developing a software sub-sector thesisto present at the end of the internship.
- Meet with and present to company management teams
- Present company opportunities and sub-sector thesis to senior software team, highlighting theinvestments merits, risk, dynamics and next steps
- Conducting market research, expert interviews, database research, etc.
- Learn how to prepare technical elements of deal processes, including: financial statementanalysis, financial modeling, transaction structuring, and financial and operational due diligenceWHO WILL SUCCEED AT THIS JOB

THE ROLE
The primary focus of our Summer Software Investing Analyst program is to gain experience sourcing and assessing potential investment opportunities for Alpine’s international software strategy. This entails proactively identifying companies and sectors for Alpine to invest; outreaching to and communicating with founders and management teams; identifying key trends and risks of a company and sector; and highlighting attractive areas for investment. As the deal processes “go live,” the Software Investing Summer Analysts will play a critical role on the deal team in assisting with various components of the deal process, including building and analyzing financial models, participating in on-site company visits, and conducting diligence meetings with business executives.
Interns are an integral part of our teams at Alpine. We strongly believe in giving interns ownership and responsibility early on so that they can maximize their learning and be ready to meaningfully contribute to the team.
