Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A master’s degree or higher, with a specialization in healthcare-related discipline (biomedical engineering, medicine, life science, etc.) is preferred for this role;
  • 1 - 3 years of previous experience in the healthcare domain preferred but not mandatory;
  • Passion for the healthcare industry; and venture capital with self-initiative, a can-do attitude, and a desire for intellectual challenge.
  • A strategic mindset and excellent research skills to solve complex business problems;
  • A good understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis is an asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively convey ideas;
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail skills to minimize any types of errors and mistakes;
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills to organize and present information clearly and concisely;
  • Self-learner with strong task ownership and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior team members in maintaining the VC fund database and coordinating meeting schedules with partners;
  • Assist with the deal screening process, interview start-up management teams, summarize findings, and evaluate to identify investment opportunities;
  • Develop the network/contact mapping;
  • Compile a newsletter to share updates and portfolio companies’ development and milestones with investors and business partners;
  • Publish and present monthly updates with existing portfolio companies;
  • Facilitate value-adding projects and tasks on a needed basis;
  • Support Partner(s) with the post-deal value creation activities for the portfolio companies, which include but are not limited to:
  • strategic and operational programs that aim at helping portfolio companies achieve growth expansion across new segments and markets;
  • various support efforts such as primary and secondary research, business development, talent development, and regular checkpoints with senior leadership;
  • any ad-hoc post-investment asset initiatives;
  • Contribute to the bespoke strategic research projects;
  • Perform ad-hoc operational tasks on a needed basis.
