My client is a high-performing Investment Bank with a great reputation, excellent leadership and a high-profile client list. Due to growth, the team is looking to hire an Investment Banking Associate to help them execute a strong pipeline of deals.
Although they’re sector generalists, they’re particularly strong in the energy, renewables & infrastructure sectors and would like to see candidates with experience in this sector.
You will have experience in M&A, either from a boutique advisory firm, bulge bracket or big4 M&A advisory team.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis of companies and industries, including financial statement modelling, valuation, and comparable company analysis. Analyse financial data to assess the financial health and performance of clients and potential investment opportunities.
  • Transaction Execution: Assist in the execution of various financial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs), debt and equity offerings, leveraged buyouts, and restructuring activities. Collaborate with senior bankers and other team members to prepare transaction-related documents, presentations, and financial models.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with market trends, industry developments, and economic conditions that may impact clients’ businesses or investment decisions. Conduct research and gather relevant data to support the origination and execution of transactions. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research findings to internal teams and clients.
  • Due Diligence: Assist in conducting due diligence activities, including gathering and analysing relevant information about target companies, conducting industry research, and identifying potential risks and opportunities associated with transactions. Prepare due diligence reports and support senior bankers in evaluating the findings.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, including corporate executives, institutional investors, and other stakeholders. Interact with clients to understand their financial needs, provide advisory services, and support business development initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including senior bankers, analysts, legal professionals, and other internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and manage work streams, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and seamless execution of transactions.
